Schindler elevators will serve the World Towers, comprising of the 117-storey World One and the equally iconic World Crest, one of India’s tallest towers soaring over 700 ft. Schindler is providing 18 Schindler 7000 elevators for these two towers, as well as seven machine-roomless elevators.
The residential towers are part of 18-acre development at Upper Worli - Mumbai’s urban neighbourhood and are developed by Lodha Group, one of India’s largest real estate developers, and designed by internationally renowned architects, Pei Cobb Freed & Partners.
The World Towers will offer an exclusive lifestyle experience thanks to the unique curved shape of the buildings, with residents able to enjoy marvellous 360° views of the entire city. Installation of the elevators is scheduled to start in 2013. The order was booked in the first quarter of 2012.
The Imperial twin towers in Tardeo, Mumbai is said to have heralded the boom in the High rise segment. The residential condominium is among the tallest in India at a height of 254 m with 60 floors. These are large premium apartments in exclusive neighborhoods with luxurious interiors designed by well known architects, private lifts, landscaped gardens, sea views and facilities such as gym, swimming pool, security and children's play area.
The twin towers have 35 Schindler elevators. Of these, six are glass elevators equipped with Schindler's Miconic 10 Destination Control System. The other 16 elevators are of the Schindler 7000 series and travel at/between speeds of 4 mps and 6mps, based on building requirements. These modern elevators boast interiors made of specially designed embossed glass while the touch sensitive panels lend the lifts a contemporary look.
CSIA Terminal-2 is a perfect blend of world class design, architecture, Indian heritage and culture. The design of Terminal 2 draws inspiration from India’s national bird – The Peacock. Not only on its pillars or its roof, the design can be seen on every inch of the structure, even its carpet! T2s roof has been sculpted with special dichroic lenses that move in accordance with the changing direction of the sun, reflecting onto the check-in hall flooring, an array of colors reminiscent of a peacock feather.
This unique design brief and seamlessly integrated our solution to enable mobility within this iconic new Airport with a total of 141 units (113 units installed) : Elevators - 68 units, Escalators - 52 units and Moving walks- 21 units.
